Oxford Flats
19 N Oxford Street, Indianapolis, IN 46201
Oxford Flats is a middle-scale development in terms of density — this walk-up, 15-unit development just north of East Washington Street on Oxford Street was developed on 3 lots in the neighborhood, two vacant and one with a burned out house, and instead of developing 3 or even 6 units on these three lots, ECDC sought to increase density within the neighborhood, on a transit corridor, and with a number of amenities surrounding it. This type of development, Missing Middle Housing, is crucial in bringing back population to our neighborhood and the City. Englewood CDC developed a duplicate development, Providence Place, on 21st Street and Kildaire Avenue which opened in early 2024.
