Developed in partnership with Living Word Baptist Church, Providence Place will be located at 21st Street and Kildaire Ave., just across the street from the church. For the past 15 years, Living Word Baptist Church has been developing and managing affordable housing in their neighborhood (Otterbein) on the Near Eastside and is dedicated to continuing and expanding that work. As a partner, Englewood CDC will serve as the developer and building manager for the facility, providing the technical assistance and infrastructure Living Word Baptist Church needs to transition to manage larger developments.

This complex will provide both affordable housing and units of permanent supportive housing in the neighborhood, serving the more vulnerable populations in the area. In addition, Community Health Network is partnering on the development as a service provider, as their Community East location is about a mile from the building.
